Overview

Our 4-day trip brings you the highlight of Uganda: Tracking the Mountain Gorillas!Spend one hour with our very close relatives in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.The mountain gorillas are highly endangered and there are only 700 animals left, in 2 national parks, covering 3 countries: Bwindi in Uganda and the Virunga Mountains in Uganda (Mgahinga National Park), Rwanda (Volcanoes National Park) and Congo (Virunga National Park).

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be met by your guide, briefed about your upcoming journey and transferred to your lodge.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After Breakfast, start your journey heading south. You will have a stop at the equator and Mbarara town for lunch. Your eventual destination is Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you should arrive in the evening just in time to take in the breathtaking views of the mountains and the dense forest.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking

After an early breakfast you will set off towards what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your safari, the unforgettable experience that is Mountain Gorilla tracking. After trekking through the dense forest to where the Gorillas were found the day before, you begin your tracking, searching for the largest primate in the world. Upon sighting, you will stay with them for one hour as they eat, rest and bond with their young. To reach them it can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours, so be prepared for a long trek through the humid rain-forest. Afterwards you will spend the afternoon relaxing and taking in your beautiful surroundings.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable – Entebbe

Depart for Entebbe with a stopover at the equator for lunch and later proceed to catch your flight.
